Toyota Field is set to host a new and exciting event in February 2025 as the Rocket City Softball Showcase takes over the stadium for a week.

This event will feature four top programs from the Southeastern Conference (SEC): Auburn, Alabama, Ole Miss, and Mississippi State.

The Rocket City Softball Showcase is a collaborative effort between the City of Madison, the Rocket City Trash Pandas, the Madison County Commission, the Huntsville/Madison County Convention & Visitors Bureau, and the Huntsville Sports Commission.

This partnership aims to bring national attention to Toyota Field with more than 16 games scheduled throughout the week.

Madison Mayor Paul Finley expressed his enthusiasm for the Rocket City Softball Showcase saying, “This is an exciting event that showcases our stadium and our community in a completely new light. Our region is known for being on the cutting edge of big things, and we believe this week of softball will continue the momentum of everything here in the Town Madison development.”

Garrett Fahrmann, General Manager of the Rocket City Trash Pandas, commented on the transformation of the stadium: “A project like this only happens with everyone pulling together. We can’t wait to see Toyota Field take on a new look for this event in February. Our team is known for providing a fun and festive environment for Trash Pandas games, and we will bring that same mindset to a great week of softball.”

The Rocket City Softball Showcase will kick off on February 19th with five straight days of college softball, headlined by a high-profile game between Women’s College World Series participant Alabama and Jacksonville State.

Following the opening night, there will be four additional days of softball featuring nine teams. The lineup includes three SEC teams—Auburn, Ole Miss, and Mississippi State—alongside Alabama mid-major powers Jacksonville State and UNA.

Other teams participating are former Women’s College World Series participant James Madison, Conference USA powerhouse Louisiana Tech, the rising Southern Conference program ETSU, and regular NCAA Tournament contender Miami (OH).

Presale tickets will go on sale for Trash Pandas season ticket holders on June 10th, with public sales opening on June 13th at 10 a.m. Party decks, suites, and concourse suites will be available for purchase.

This event promises to be a landmark week for softball in Rocket City, bringing top-tier college softball and showcasing the community’s commitment to hosting major sporting events.
