Huntsville Ice Sports Center Is Getting A $1.6 Million Upgrade

The Huntsville City Council has approved a $1.6 million upgrade to the Huntsville Ice Sports Center on Leeman Ferry.

The renovations will include two new ice rinks with seating sections, a new dedicated curling rink, various building upgrades, and a new parking lot and landscaping.

Over the last few years, the Ice Sports Center has become heavily used as it is open to the public and the practice area for local teams like the Huntsville Havoc, UAH, and the Rocket City Curling Club.

The addition of two new ice rinks should free up some space for more public use while also allowing our local sports teams to have plenty of practice time.

Further, adding a dedicated curling rink is going to allow the center to host large tournaments.
