Hays Farm’s $5.6 Million Park Given The Green Light

Hays Farm new park

The development at Hays Farm just keeps getting better and better, with the City of Huntsville recently approving its new $5.6 million park.

The new park will be located near Grissom High School. It will be an open lawn area with walking trails, restrooms, and a lake. It will also include a windmill from the Hays Family Farm.

The park’s overall budget is $5.6 million, with $4.6 million coming from the City of Huntsville.

Once complete, the park will be located on the side of Haysland Road and will connect with the Hays Farm development.

Specifically, it will feed into The Jessam at the Park, which will include 30,000 square feet of retail space. Similar to Town Madison, 32 apartment units will be above the retail space.

However, the development of The Jessam at the Park will not happen until the new city park is completed. At the time of writing, construction of the new Hay’s Farm park is expected to begin sometime this summer.

In the meantime, if you’re looking to get outside, there are plenty of beautiful hiking trails in Huntsville!
